The Devonshire Dome, Buxton (GB)

The Devonshire Dome is an iconic building set in the Derbyshire spa town of Buxton. It is one of the most dramatic spaces in Britain and the largest unsupported dome in Europe. Built in 1779 by the 5th Duke of Devonshire, this magnificent grade II* listed building has dominated the Buxton sky line ever since.

A stunning example of heritage regeneration, the Devonshire Dome is now home to a well-regarded fine dining restaurant, relaxed cafe, contemporary spa and hair and beauty salons. A truly unique venue, the Devonshire Dome is licensed for civil weddings and hosts some of the country’s premier events and banquets. It is also home to the University of Derby and Buxton College.

Delta Light was brought into assist with both feature and emergency lighting, using our Ultra X Down Up LED wall lights on the perimeter of the interior in the Dome.
